Women seeking an elective 3D/4D ultrasound with us must already be receiving prenatal care. This is an elective scan and not a replacement for the diagnostic ultrasound by your provider to confirm your due date, screen for fetal anomalies or medical issues. This is not covered by insurance. We are an out-of-network provider.

1. Why should I choose to have an ultrasound performed at MYULTRASOUND?

All scans sessions are performed by diagnostic medical sonographers who are registered through the ARDMS.  They have years of clinical experience in performing medical ultrasound scans and currently provide services for major medical facilities in the DFW area. Our experienced sonographers help insure that you are recieving a competent and highly skilled medical professional to care for you and your baby. We use the state-of-the-art GE Voluson ultrasound units to complete all ultrasound scans.

We follow the strict guidelines established by AIUM for the length of scans and intensity of sound waves.

We have an affiliated Board Certified Obstetrician and Radiologist that we consult with routinely as required.

2. What kind of training do your Sonographers receive?

MYULTRASOUND employs medical ultrasonographers who have gone through an independent and accredited multi-year program in medical ultrasound and who also have extensive experience in OB/GYN scanning. This allows us to provide you with both peace of mind and reliable imaging.

Be sure to ask if the person performing your ultrasound is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer and ask to see their credentials.

3. What type of ultrasound machine do you use?

We use the state of the art technology -  GE Volusons to complete all ultrasound exams. The GE Voluson Series is considered the best product line of ultrasound systems to perform 3D/4D imaging. Please note, many centers claim that the GE Voluson 730 is the hands down best system to use however GE offers many exceptional 3D/4D systems.  Their top of the line 3D/4D unit is actually the Voluson E8 system with HD live.  GE also produces the Voluson E6 and Voluson I units which are eqally impressive imaging systems.  When using any GE unit to achieve quality images, the quality  however lies in the skill level of the operator and their experience in the field of ultrasound.  We have seen sub-optimal images from other imaging centers who use HD Live with poorly trained operators and incredible images from highly skilled users who use other GE systems.  Beautiful artwork relies on the skill level of the painter as well as the quality of the paint

4. Regulatory Compliance

We follow FDA recommendations for approved imaging systems.  We operate under the required regulatory licenses, and in accordance with Texas federal and state regulations.  MYULTRASOUND is dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. Our ongoing quality assurance program ensures that we meet FDA recommendations, standards and protocols.
